About the programme

The Johor–Singapore Special Economic Zone is drawing investment in AI, data, cloud and advanced manufacturing faster than the local talent pool can fill the roles. Employers across the JS-SEZ are hiring now, and they're looking for people who can prove they have the digital skills the work demands.

The Johor TVET Employability Programme, in partnership with Microsoft and CIMB Foundation, closes that gap. You get focused training in in-demand AI and digital skills, sit a globally recognised Microsoft certification, and are matched directly to companies hiring in the zone — so you finish not just with a qualification, but with a real line to a job.

Choose your Microsoft AI certification

You prepare for and sit one industry-recognised Microsoft certification across the AI / Data / Security pathway:

  • AI-901 — Azure AI Fundamentals. Core AI and machine-learning concepts on Microsoft Azure.
  • DP-900 — Azure Data Fundamentals. Foundational data concepts across relational and non-relational data.
  • SC-900 — Security, Compliance & Identity Fundamentals. The basics of security, compliance and identity in the cloud.
  • AI-103 — Azure AI Apps & Agents Developer Associate. Build AI-powered apps and intelligent agents on Azure using generative AI.
  • PL-300 — Power BI Data Analyst Associate. Model, visualise and analyse data to deliver insights with Power BI.
  • SC-200 — Security Operations Analyst Associate. Detect, investigate and respond to threats using Microsoft security tools.

Each participant selects and completes one certification — the one most relevant to your skills and career goals.

Phase 1 — Get Started

Phase 2 — Build Your Skills

  • Online bootcamp: self-discovery and the shift to a corporate mindset.
  • In-person bootcamp: hands-on Microsoft training in AI, Data & Security.

Phase 3 — Get Hired

  • Employer engagement and job-matching support.
  • Regular group coaching sessions with mentors.
  • Industry placement, with continued support on professional upskilling and wellbeing.

  • TVET students currently seeking industrial training (internship) placements.

  • Able to commit throughout the full duration of the programme (4 months).
